Three in one Confab Held, CBSUA Pasacao Graduating students partake in


“ Educational Access and Support Environment Towards Global Development”

It was the theme during the 3 in 1 seminar   on Distance Learning, Problem Based Teaching, and Environmental Education held at CENTRAL BICOL STATE UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE ( CBSUA) Pasacao Campus on July 21, 2010, Wednesday. The said seminar was participated in by the graduating students taking Bachelor of Secondary education major in English, Mathematics, and Bio-logy  and Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED), wearing formal and semi– formal attire.

The seminar started in the morning with the Doxology of CEPA dancers, followed by the singing of Philippine National Anthem. Dr. Melquiades N. Pana, Campus Administrator, gave his persuasive and inspiring message to the participants. Mr. Jayson M. Dañas, coordinator and instructor in Mathematics, opened the program with enthusiastic opening message. Consequently, Ms. Catherine Paderogo, an English major, introduced the first speaker Professor Lorena Almelor, from CBSUA Pili Main Campus. Prof. Almelor emphasized that,
“Any gadgets we use in the teaching and learning process it’s probably called Distance Education or Distance Learning”.

    The seminar continued in the afternoon at the same venue (room 3 and 4), with the introduction of the second speaker Professor Amelin A. Tino by Robert N. Moratalla, over-all chairman of the seminar. Prof. Amelin discussed the Problem based teaching or learning where she stressed out that, “ Problem based Teaching is the pathway to better learning”.

Moreover, Mr. Dañas introduced the third     speaker Professor Charlie P. Nacario, one of the assets of CBSUA Pili, Main Campus. “ We are connected with everything that can be found on Earth
where we live, and we are the stewards of God’s creation” he
 acclaimed.

Furthermore, guest speakers received plaque of appreciation and a sort of souvenir from the school and students through tokens.

 Thus, this seminar aims to upsurge the knowledge of the students that can be used on their upcoming practicum for teachers this month of November.

This held seminar was organized through the concerted effort of English Major and in cooperation with Mr. Dañas, the coordinator and instructor of Mathematics and some Education subject, respectively. The masters of ceremony were: Ms. Anne Patrick Imperial and Mr. Elmer S. Advincula Jr., both BSE IV English students.

Life is indeed the gigantic gift bestowed upon us by almigthy Creator of all things, so that we should protect our lives and evertything we could see and found on earth. We are the stewards of everything because we are endowed with the highest intellegence. Protect and save our lives... for we are protecting also our future.
